Walker Bay Fleet One Class Rules Effective October 2008 INTENT: Walker Bay Fleet One was created as a strict one-design class. The intent is that all boats will be equal and that competition will be a true test of crews, not boats and equipment. Any effort to alter the boat or its rigging, except as specifically permitted by these rules, is prohibited. DEFINITION: “Builder” means boats produced by Walker Bay. RULE CHANGES: To initiate a new rule or change an existing rule, the fleet must approve the addition or change by a two-thirds majority of all members of the fleet. Each “boat” is entitled to one vote. All changes to our rules will be considered and voted on at the annual meeting. Interim rule changes to prevent abuse of a loophole will be voted on as necessary. MEASUREMENTS & SPECIFICATIONS: MAST & BOOM: The spars and standing rigging as supplied by the builder may not be altered in any way except that the mast may be sleeved to repair damage so long as the original length is preserved. FITTINGS & LINES: Standard fittings and lines as supplied by the builder may not be altered or added.
